SMP Will Unveil New 50th Anniversary Logo Saturday

Shades Mountain Park will unveil a new logo at Saturday’s Spring baseball registration event in conjunction with the Park’s Golden Anniversary celebration this Spring.  Commissioned by the board in the Fall and drawn by Greg Bulinski, the icon will be available on exclusive SMP merchandise and prominant around the park this season. Spring baseball registration will be held the next two Saturdays at Regions Park from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. both days.

Founded as the Bluff Park Little League in 1958-59, Shades Mountain Community Park has provided development for thousands of children proceeding to be productive citizens and valuable members of the community and state.

Photo Day - location TBA. Check with your coach for your team’s specific time and please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early.

Spring Baseball Registration Jan. 10th & 17th at Regions Park; Board to Hold January Meeting on 5th

Shades Mountain Park will hold Spring Baseball Registration the next two Saturdays at Regions Park. Cost per child this Spring will be $160 ($135 for T-ball) with a maximum family registration fee of $350. The registration fee includes hat, jersey, socks, trophy, team picture, ticket to a Barons’ game and admission to Park Day.

There are two ways to register:

1) In-person registration will be held Jan. 10 and 17 (9-4 both days) at Regions Park. This is a great time to try visit and we encourage this method of signing up. It’s quick and a lot of fun.

2) You may also register online (any time between now and Jan. 17) through the City of Hoover Parks and Recreation Department at http://www.ci.hoover.al.us

Also, the SMP Board will host its regular monthly meeting Monday, Jan. 5th at 7 p.m. at the Park.
